A very elegant solid silver sauce boat and matching dish. The sauce boat is a lovely shape, it has no engravings or embossing apart from a small row of beading around the top edge. The two loop handles either side bare a delicate pattern adding to the attractiveness. Clear hallmarks and maker's marks are visible on the inside of the sauce boat: Birmingham 1905 made by Barker Brothers. The underneath of the sauce boat is stamped with the original jeweler's marks: J Cockburn, Silversmiths, Richmond, S.W. (A renowned jeweler based in Richmond during the early 20th century).
The Sauce boat sits on a matching solid silver dish. As with the Sauce Boat, the dish is a lovely simple design with the same beaded edge. Hallmarks and maker's marks are clearly visible on one side of the dish: Birmingham 1905 by Barker Brothers.
Condition: Both sauce boat and dish are in great antique condition, with no visible dents.
